Section of Blackdene vein model

Section of model relating to South Slitt, Blackdene Mine, Weardale. Model shows stopes, rises, tunnels and strata but has no shading or labelling, so may be unfinished. Drill hole may have accommodated wire to show another level coming in from another angle. Feet above sea level are given on the right end. Metal pegs in base suggest it was board mounted. Contouring on front face shows profile of vein cheek. May have connected to another model on left.
