Section of Blackdene vein model

Section of Blackdene vein model relating to North Slitt, Blackdene Mine, Weardale. Model shows stopes, rises and tunnels and strata. Areas shaded pink, orange/red, red and blue - probably showing areas worked and unworked or richness of ore bodies although no key is available. Drilled holes may have have accomodated wire to show another level coming in at an angle. Feet above sea level are given on the left end. 2 wooden pegs on bas suggest it was board mounted, while shaped end suggests there may have been other linked sections. Contouring on front face shows profile of vein cheek.
